New Vento version rolling out tomorrow! What’s improved this time?

This Thursday, July 24th, 2025, between 10 AM and 2 PM CET, we’re rolling out Vento 3.1.12. We’ve packed it with little life-simplifiers that’ll make your shift smoother so give it a minute, and you’ll know exactly what’s new and where you can save a few clicks.


Vento 3-in-1: Everything You Need in One Move

Here we go – the 3-in-1 mobile device that lets you manage orders, payments, and receipt printing on a single device. No switching, no delays – just everything in one place: clear, fast, and without unnecessary steps. Whether you're at the table, out on the terrace, or on the move between the two, you’ve got everything you need right in your hand. One device, zero hassle.


Vento 3-in-1 is the ideal assistant for operations where speed, convenience, and smooth service matter. Whether it's a busy shift or a quieter pace, this solution keeps everything under control – and in your pocket.


With Vento 3-in-1, you can:

  • create orders directly at the table,
  • accept card payments on the same device,
  • send charges directly to HotelTime (to a reservation or a permanent    account),
  • use split payment,
  • and also print receipts when needed.


On top of that – if you need to split a bill, void a transaction, or add a tip, there's no need to return to the POS. You can do it all right through the 3-in-1. More information is available on our customer portal here

Adyen Terminals in Vento: Smart Integration with Added Value

Vento now works smoothly with Adyen payment terminals. The integration is simple, intuitive, and brings advantages you won’t want to miss (though you can – but why would you?).

If you’re already using payment terminals in Vento, you’ll appreciate the option for custom branding – a logo on the display or even a QR code and logo on the receipt. Because style and branding matter, even at checkout. And if you've been putting off the integration, now’s the time to go for it. Really. It's that straightforward.

Plus: tips are transferred automatically. No manual entries or lost pennies – everything ends up where it should. And as a bonus? The variable symbol for each payment matches the label in the Adyen portal, making your accounting team surprisingly cheerful.

Vento 3-in-1 and payment terminal connectivity are available in countries where HotelTime and Adyen operates together.


Dashboard with Better Orientation and Time Context

In the “Latest Closures” widget, clicking on “Others” now takes you to a Closure list – no unexpected redirects to a specific one. Additionally, the “Sales Timeline” widget now displays times according to the application’s time zone setting.


Changed Supplier in Receipt Cards? Reports Know About It!

If you change the supplier in a receipt card in Vento, the update will now also appear in the Purchase price overview. Your data stays consistent across the system.


Clearer Feedback When Working with Removed Stock Items

If you now try to open a stock item from a stock document that has been removed, you'll conveniently remain on the document page and see a message: “The stock item has been deleted.” Previously, it was an abrupt trip back to the homepage – with no explanation. Now, you know exactly what’s going on.


Easier Stock Item Creation

For a while, creating a new stock item felt like an entrance exam. But we’ve made it simple again: the fields Stock warning, Stock order, Purchase price, and Reference price are no longer mandatory. So you can add stock items more quickly – just like before.


Tax Report (=VAT output report) Without Glitches and Shifts

Fee column calculations are now accurate, columns are in the right place, and totals are spot on. No more strange math mysteries – just numbers behaving like they should.


Tax Base Line Disappeared from Bills?

On some individual custom printing templates, the “Base” line (tax base) disappeared as if it went on holiday. If this has happened to you, contact customer support. Just send us the template, we’ll fix it and send it back. The base will return – refreshed and back where it belongs.


Tables Part Ways with Permanent Accounts

Permanent and employee accounts will no longer be tied to a specific table. As part of the update, this link will be automatically removed for existing accounts, and new ones can no longer be linked. A table stays a table, an account stays an account – and each goes its own way.


Stock Document Export Works Again

Exporting stock document details to Excel no longer crashes or misbehaves. It works exactly as it should – calmly and reliably, just like it always should have.
