On Thursday, August 28, 2025, we’re rolling out Confero 1.7.0 – (over)loaded with handy updates to make your workday (or at least your shift) smoother. Take a quick look – just a one-minute read, and you’ll know what’s new and where you can save a few clicks.
What's new?
A new feature that opens doors (literally): Parent & Child rooms in Confero!
The latest version introduces a revolutionary tool for managing flexible spaces. Got interconnected meeting rooms? A dividable hall with movable walls? You can now manage them in the system just as easily as you transform them in real life.
Merge, split, plan – effortlessly!
Set up a main (parent) room and link it to its individual (child) spaces. What does this mean for you?
When the parent room is booked, no one can reserve its parts.
When a child room is booked, the system automatically blocks all potential combinations.
No confusion, no double bookings, no front desk panic.
Who is it for? Anyone who wants full control over their space

Have a room that fits 150 people and two enquiries for 150? In the past, you had to get creative. Not anymore. You can now create multiple reservations in one room in provisional or waiting list status – each with the full capacity if needed. No errors, no workarounds. Perfect for venues where dates are in high demand (hello hotels and event coordinators!).

Greater flexibility when configuring revenue centres and mapping them to HotelTime
From this version on, Confero allows you to set up your own mapping of services or their categories to specific revenue streams in HotelTime. This gives you more detailed statistics and better control over how revenues from individual items are allocated. Whether you’re working with a single hotel or an entire chain, you now have the full revenue flow under control.

Even better overview in the room plan with colours
You can now assign colours to your custom reservation statuses, making it easy to identify them at a glance. You can also mark a company profile as Agent and assign a unique colour to all its reservations.
The result? Faster orientation, fewer mistakes, and more efficient work. The room plan becomes a clearer and more powerful tool for managing your operations.

Sensitive reservation data now visible only to authorised staff
You can now limit reservation access to preview-only mode. Selected users will see only basic information in the room plan preview – without access to reservation details that are not essential to their role.
Simply deactivate the “Reservation detail” permission for these users. This improves data security, reduces the risk of unwanted changes, and still keeps your team informed.
Ideal for temps, external staff, or anyone who only needs to see the essentials.
More secure login to Confero!
You can now enable two-factor authentication for user logins in Confero. This feature enhances security and helps protect your account from unauthorised access.
Profiles linked to HotelTime? Now just one click away
If you have Confero integrated with HotelTime, working with individuals and company profiles just got much faster. When creating or editing a reservation, you can now instantly pull in a complete individual or company profile – no more tedious retyping or copying between systems. Just click the new "Search in HotelTime adressbook" button. And that's not all – we’ve also expanded the form with additional fields. So even when creating a new contact, you can enter everything you need straight away – no extra edits, no unnecessary clicks.
As part of aligning behaviour across systems, we’ve updated how guest profiles work to make them more consistent, clearer, and more reflective of reality.
When filling in a profile, you can now select "Not specified" for gender – because some things simply don’t need to be boxed in.
Contact persons in reservations: Always know who to contact
You can now add contact person to each reservation in Confero. This makes it easy to identify the right person on the client’s side. Whether you need to follow up on a payment or remind someone to confirm a reservation, you’ll always know who to talk to. Save time, reduce confusion, and improve client communication – all with one simple feature.

Function room order now under your control
Forget the old way of rooms appearing in the order they were added to a reservation. From now on, rooms will automatically be sorted by their start and end date and time – clear, smart, and free from random chaos. Prefer a different order? No problem. With the new "Function rooms order" feature in the reservation menu, you can easily rearrange them using the up/down arrows – just the way you like it.
And the best part? Your chosen order will be reflected in function sheet and confirmation letters, so everything will appear exactly how you want it – clear, easy to follow, and fully under control.
Reservations made easy
Confero now makes your work even smoother with the option to copy already created funcion rooms within a reservation – or even duplicate the entire reservation.
Whether you’re working with regular clients who always require the same setup, or organizing multi-day conferences where function rooms and services stay identical across all days, this feature is designed just for you.

Faster date range selection in reports
Working with reports is now a little quicker. In selected report, you can simply pick a predefined date range – for example "yesterday", "today" or "last month" – and the system will automatically fill in the dates.
Why is this great? You save time, avoid typos, and have more space to focus on what really matters. A small change, a big difference in your daily routine.
Editing a reservation no longer resets your pricing settings
When editing a reservation, the price calculation setting will no longer automatically switch to "no change". Previously, this happened without warning – and if staff didn’t notice, changes (such as number of participants) weren’t reflected in the price. Now, your selected setting stays as it is – and prices are recalculated whenever they should be.
Your offers now in an international currency format ISO 3
Do you often host international guests? You can now display prices in function sheets and confirmation letters using a globally understood format – with the ISO 3 currency code.
E.g. instead of the local “Kč”, your guests will see “CZK”, etc. This makes your communication clearer and more professional, especially for those unfamiliar with local currency notation.

Customer support contact now easier to find
Your feedback matters – that’s why we’ve made the customer support contact more visible and easier to access. You’ll now find the phone number directly in the top right corner of the screen, under the phone icon.
Monthly reservation overview now remembers your settings
No more reselecting your preferences! In the monthly view under the Room Plan Settings tab, the system now remembers your last selected option. No more automatic resets to the default (Reservation owner-pax) every time you open it.
Totals now right where you’ve always expected them
Reports in Confero have finally started to play nice. Column totals now appear exactly where they make sense – not where it felt like a random guess. This makes tracking statistics much clearer and a lot less like a detective hunt.
Date ranges that actually make sense
Until now, when adding meal package or other service to a multi-day event, the system thought it knew better – and set the "TO" date to the very first day of the event. The result? An end date before the start, and the hassle of fixing it manually. Now, the dates are prefilled correctly – so logic (and your patience) stay intact.
No more confusion about AV equipment availability
You will no longer reserve more equipment(AV) than is available at the location. We have added a validation feature to the system that checks across all reservations at a given location to ensure that total availability is not exceeded. In addition, the new AV reservation window now includes the option to view the remaining quantity for the specified date. This allows you to check whether you have enough equipment available or need to start looking for an alternative plan before saving your reservation.
Services outside the room time? Not anymore
Thanks to newly added validation, you’ll no longer accidentally book meal package, AV equipment, or other services linked to a room outside of its rental time. Previously, this could result in these services being excluded from the function sheet – but not anymore.
The context window content is working properly again
If you wrote a note longer than a one-line poem, the system used to send it straight into a parallel universe – and the context window, along with other details, would stop showing.
Now it works as it should, and your notes are visible again.
Names of days and months in function sheets also in English
In English function sheets, the names of weekdays and months were displayed in Czech. We have added their English translations.
Rounding unification
In cases where the meal package price was recalculated based on the number of persons, the amount displayed on confirmation letters and function sheets was previously rounded differently. The amount shown on the function sheets now correctly matches the amount on the confirmation letter.
