Dear Customers,
On Thursday, March 12, 2026, we’re rolling out the new Vento version 3.1.14.
And once again, it brings a few handy improvements to make your life – or at least your shift – easier. Take a quick look: in just a minute, you’ll know what’s changed and where you can save a few clicks.
What’s new?
A clearer overview with Vento QR
You can now set Vento QR to print a notification whenever a guest makes a payment. No more looking up payments or making unnecessary trips between tables – a confirmation showing the amount, table and balance is always right at hand.
A shorter order number = more reliable handover
It will now be possible to display only the last 3 or just 2 digits of the order number on the printed order. This will make checks at handover faster and help reduce errors when passing on orders.
This change will also be appreciated by clients using a calling system, where both staff and customers benefit from working with a shorter order number.
After the release, you will be able to set this up in individual order templates using the Last3Digits and Last2Digits placeholders.
The PDF export of the closure now shows the correct time
For some closures, the PDF export could previously show a different time from the one displayed in the closure directly in Vento. This was most noticeable for properties outside Central Europe — for example, in Sri Lanka the time shown in the PDF could differ by several hours. The PDF export now shows the same time as the closure in the system, namely the local time of the given property. This means the information is now consistent across countries, and the PDF export is again going on a world tour across time zones.
Amounts in the Outlet Valuation report now show the correct currency symbol
In the Outlet Valuation report, payments made in a currency other than the primary currency could previously appear in the table with an incorrect symbol. The amount itself was converted correctly, but the currency label could still remain the same as for the primary currency (for example CZK), which could be confusing.
The report now shows the correct symbol based on the actual payment currency (such as USD, EUR and others), so it is immediately clear which currency the payment was made in — and the currency symbol is no longer just there for decoration.
Your voice matters! Is there something you’re missing? Or something that works like a charm? Let us know – your feedback shapes the future of Vento. We’re building it together.
The new version will be deployed on Thursday, March 12, 2026, between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM (CET), after that we recommend to restart all tills. During this time, the system may be briefly unavailable, but we believe the new features will more than make up for it.
