New Vento version rolling out on Thursday! What’s improved this time?

Dear Customers,

On Thursday, June 4, 2026, we’re rolling out the new Vento 3.1.15.

And once again, it brings a few handy improvements to make your life – or at least your shift – easier. Take a quick look: in just a minute, you’ll know what’s changed and where you can save a few clicks.

What’s new?

3in1 Mobile waiter improved once again

We have prepared several updates to our 3in1 Mobile waiter for you. You can find a clear summary of them HERE.

Clearer list of Vento QR locations

We have improved the Vento QR locations list so that it better matches the information you see when editing.

Previously, the Name column displayed the name of the outlet to which the Vento QR location was connected. This could be unclear because the user-defined name of the Vento QR area was not shown separately in the list.

The list now displays both pieces of information clearly and separately. The Location column shows which location the Vento QR area is connected to. The Name column now displays the name of the Vento QR location exactly as entered in its edit window.

Less detective work, more real information at a glance.

Better overview for hotel room payments

When using payment confirmation printing in Vento QR, payments to a hotel account will now also show the guest name and hotel room number. This makes payment checks easier and more reliable.

Removal of old VAT charges from the system

Properties in the Czech Republic that have not yet changed the VAT charges for stock items/recipes to the currently valid VAT should do so as soon as possible. Otherwise, they may experience unusual system behaviour. For example, adding a stock item with an invalid VAT charge to a receipt of goods may redirect the user to the home page.

Client profile printed in the correct language

We have adjusted the printing of the client profile detail, which is launched using the Client profile detail system command. It is now also possible to print the profile in English if the POS user has this language set.

Paper can handle a lot, but even it deserves the language the user has selected.

Stock closing for an empty stock without unnecessary drama

We have resolved the behaviour of an operational closing that does not contain any items.

Previously, an empty stock closing could be created, but it was not displayed in the list of operational closings. When opened via a direct link, the user was also redirected to the home page.

Now, an operational closing for an empty stock is displayed in the overview as standard and can be opened normally. This allows customers to safely lock the past of the stock even before the first stock receipt and start working with a clean slate.

Cutting after printing

When printing information about a Vento QR payment, the paper remained uncut after printing and had to be separated manually.

Now, after a Vento QR payment is printed, the printer automatically cuts the paper, so the staff no longer need to practise manual tearing as an Olympic discipline.

Your voice matters! Is there something you’re missing? Or something that works like a charm? Let us know – your feedback shapes the future of Vento. We’re building it together.

The new version will be deployed on Thursday, June 4, 2026, between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM (CEST). During this time, the system may be briefly unavailable, but we believe the new features will more than make up for it.

Wishing you an easy ride with the new release!
